WHAT IS A SOUND CEREMONY?
A sound ceremony is a sonic vibrational experience with a focus on going inward and deepening somatic awareness and mind-body-spirit connection. We weave harmonic-overtone emitting instruments (Tibetan bowls, gong, chimes, harp, and more) with live music and singing in a cozy, lie-down, meditation-style setting to help you regulate your nervous system and drop into a deeply relaxing and meditative state.
We open with a brief welcome and intention circle before flowing into breath work, visualization work and then the sound experience. This goes approximately 5 hours. After which we gently shift into a lite social portion of the night - a nourishing meal, sharing and reflection circle, and group connecting.

WHY THE FIRE HORSE? WHY NOW?
The last few years have been a deeply wild journey of inner de-programming, embodiment work and clarifying the visions for cultivating my own little dream world. The Fire Horse New Year is a huge amplifier of what we carry inside of us. Which is why now, more than ever, how we relate to our stories, visions, fears, and dreams determines what we can call into our lives. As someone who has done deep inner work to confront deprogram self-limiting beliefs and expand my capacity for receiving new possibilities, I’m deeply passionate about holding space for this work for others.If you missed it, I share more about the power of the Fire Horse year on my SubStack.
This sound ceremony is designed with this in mind, to help you go inward and cultivate more conscious connection to your inner world - one we can only hear when we quiet the mind. Weaving together the vibrational resonance of sound, voice, music, plant medicine and experienced facilitators holding space, we create a soundscape that is the canvas for your deepest inner exploration yet.

Pre-ceremony - One-on-one intentions & preparation call with both facilitators (1 hour)
Saturday 4/18 Ceremony - Full ceremony experience & evening dinner
Post-ceremony Sunday - Breakfast & integration - 10am in-person breakfast for those staying nearby & 11am group integration circle (Zoom for remote attendees).
Post ceremony Sunday - Guided group trail walk to special dirt Labyrinths with ocean vistas in Topanga
Post-ceremony - 1:1 integration + processing call (1 hour)

Christina Issa
Christina is a sound practitioner, singer, coach and designer. She is devoted to individual and collective healing and creates heart-led spaces that weave sound, voice, music, and art into vessels for breakthrough and transformation.
Daniel Klein
Daniel is the creator of Truth, Reconciliation & Love, a platform for deep inner transformation work. Daniel has been creating and holding ceremonial spaces for 10+ years. Learn more at Daniel.Living. He is engaged to Christina.

A sound journey is a time for you to go inward while being supported by the space-holding of experienced facilitators.
Sound and music will be playing for approximately 5 hours. The event is held like a group meditation and the intention is to remain in your inner journey with an eye-mask. Facilitators are there to provide you support as needed.
After the sound portion of the ceremony is over, we flow into sharing and reflections, song circle and light socializing and dinner.

This is not an overnight ceremony, there is an arrival and departure time.
For anyone traveling into town, we can share local recommendations for where to stay. We recommend staying in/around Topanga and Ubering to and from the ceremony.
If you are able to stay locally and join us the next morning in person for breakfast and integration that will help make the most of your experience.

We work with a very special, natural and locally grown/harvested plant from the Topanga mountains.
Every participant will have a call with myself and Daniel as standard screening where we can provide more details about this powerful earth medicine.

Only participants - my personal and vetted additional connections - and two facilitators including myself are in the space. This is an inclusive and safe space, there is no going in and out during ceremony.
As a group experience, we respect our fellow journeyers and the container as a place for collective healing by extending to everyone the solitude to be in their journey without disruption.

A yoga mat for lying on, a pillow and blanket and anything else to maximize your comfort. We will have some extra blankets and pillows but please bring what you need if you are local.
An eye mask
Dress in layers and white or light colors, and in layers to accommodate temperature changes - sweaters, scarf, socks are good.
A refillable water bottle
A journal & pen
Any sacred or sentimental objects you would like to keep close or activate in the ceremony space

It is never mandatory but highly recommended to join the integration the next morning at 11am. If you aren’t nearby to come back you can join via Zoom. This is to support the processing of the experience in a structured and guided way.
