WHAT IS A SOUND JOURNEY?

A sound journey is an immersive sonic experience designed to help you go inward and cultivate deeper mind-body-spirit connection. If you’ve never experienced the combination of sound and plant medicine in an intentional ceremonial setting before, prepare to be transported.

In a sound journey we weave harmonic-overtone instruments such as Tibetan bowls, gong, chimes and much more with music, live voice/singing, and other instruments into a sacred space where you are invited to relax into the art of deep listening and receiving the healing frequencies of sound.

In a world so full of noise and disconnection, a sound journey is an act of rebellious resonance - an opportunity for you to go inward with awareness and re-connect to yourself and your truth.

We open with intention-setting, visualization exercises and breath-work before flowing into approximately 5 hours of sound. Afterward: a nourishing meal, sharing circle, and light connection before departure.

The Fire Horse Lunar year is a powerful amplifier of everything we carry inside of us. How we relate to our own stories, visions, fears, and dreams determines what we call into our lives. This journey is designed to help you go inward and deepen your self-awareness. That’s when you hear what only becomes audible when the mind quiets - the feelings, memories, visions, desires, all stored in your psyche and body. By weaving sound, voice, plant medicine, and experienced facilitation, we develop a blank canvas for doing your deepest inner work yet.

Meet your guides

Christina Issa

Christina is a sound practitioner, singer, coach and designer. She is devoted to individual and collective healing and creates heart-led spaces that weave sound, voice, music, and art into vessels for breakthrough and transformation.

Daniel Klein

Daniel is the creator of Truth and Reconciliation, a platform for deep inner transformation work. Daniel has been creating and holding journey spaces for 10+ years. Learn more at Daniel.Living.

FAQ’s

  • All RSVP’s will receive a confirmation text from me within 24 hours, and there will be a 15-minute phone call to confirm participation.

    The week prior you will receive a prep email with instructions, the exact address etc.

    Payment is refundable up until 7 days before (through March 7th) - for any cancellation after that, the payment can be a credit towards a future sound journey. No funds wasted.

    A sound journey is a time for you to go inward while being supported by the space-holding of experienced facilitators.

    Sound and music will be playing for approximately 5 hours. The event is held like a group meditation and the intention is to remain in your inner journey with an eye-mask. Daniel and Christina are there to assist and provide support as needed.

    After the sound portion of the journey is over, we flow into sharing and reflections, song circle and light socializing and dinner.

  • This is not an overnight stay, there is an arrival and departure time.

    For anyone traveling into town, we are happy to share local recommendations. We recommend staying in or near Topanga and Ubering to and from the ceremony.

    If you are able to stay locally and join us the next morning in person for breakfast and in-person integration that will help make the most of your experience.

  • We work with a very special, all-natural and locally grown/harvested plant from the Topanga mountains.

    Every participant will have a call with myself and Daniel as standard screening where we can provide more details about this potent earth medicine.

  • Only participants - my personal and vetted connections - and two facilitators including myself are in the space. This is an inclusive and safe space, there is no going in and out during ceremony.

    As a group experience, we respect our fellow journeyers and the container as a place for collective healing by extending to everyone the solitude to be in their journey without disruption.

    • A yoga mat for lying on

    • Pillow, blanket and anything else to make you comfortable. We will have some extra blankets and pillows but please bring what you can if you are local.

    • An eye mask

    • Dress white or light colors, and in layers to accommodate temperature changes - sweaters, scarf, socks are good.

    • A refillable water bottle

    • A journal & pen

    • Any sacred or sentimental objects you would like to keep close or activate in the space

    • Good intentions and an open heart

  • It is never mandatory but highly recommended to join the integration the next morning at 11am. If you aren’t nearby to come in-person you can join via Zoom. This is to support your processing of the experience in a structured and safe way.

  • Location will be a private residence in Topanga in the Fernwood neighborhood and address will be sent out the week prior.
